Next month the iPhone 6 will finally, finally be released and Apple is now putting the finishing touches on the device, according to a report on Weibo cited by G for Games.
According to G for Games’ interpretation, the report cites “Foxconn sources” to claim that the iPhone 6 has entered “the PVT (Product Validation Test) stage, which means that the assembly line is run at full speed in order to detect any potential issues that may hinder the assembly process.” And in case you were wondering, this Weibo post wasn’t just written by some random teenager in China but by Xiang Ligang, whom G for Games informs us “is an ex professor at the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and is currently the CEO of the Chinese publication CCTIMES.”
Even without this report, though, it would be probably safe to assume that the iPhone 6 has reached the PVT stage by now, especially since Apple is set to announce the device in less than a month on September 9th.
September is shaping up to be an extremely busy month for smartphones with not just the iPhone 6 but the Samsung Galaxy Alpha and Galaxy Note 4, the next-generation Moto G and the BlackBerry Passport all set to release.
