Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 is no doubt one of the most anticipated smartphones of the second half of the year, but it looks like phablet fans will have another device to wait for. A new leak is indicating that the folks at LG are readying a competitor for the Note 4.
LG have strengthen their position on the smartphone market with estimated shipments of 60 million terminals in 2014. The LG G3 and its predecessor certainly helped the South Korean phone maker, but, for the time being, LG failed to become competitive on the phablet niche. Even though the company’s G Pro devices were aimed at the Galaxy Note series, many customers might have chosen Samsung’s handset simply because it came with a stylus.
If you were dreaming of a stylus-friendly LG competitor for Note 4, we have good news for you. An official promo video that was released for the LG G3 Beat launch is hinting at a new device called LG G3 Stylus.
At the end of Emma’s love story with her G3 Beat the spot shows the entire G3 family: the well-known G3, the new G3 Beat, and a mysterious LG G3 Stylus. The latter device features a pretty big stylus that can be hidden into a slot on the left-hand rear side of the device. Even though it’s a bit hard to tell from the image, the G3 Stylus seems a bit larger than the G3. That’s all the spot reveals about the new smartphone.
Hardware-wise, the LG G3 Stylus will probably borrow most of G3′s components. As a refresher, the LG G3 has a QHD (2560 x 1440) display, 3 GB of RAM, quad-core Snapdragon 801 CPU, 13 MP rear-facing camera with laser autofocus, 32 GB storage, and microSD support.
