LG G3 Stylus to Come with qHD 5.7-inch Display?

We found out about the existence of the LG G3 Stylus a couple of days ago, when the terminal was spotted in a promotional video for the G3 Beat. Now the LG G3 Stylus rumors are starting to pile up. Yesterday a report saying that the LG phablet might not be a high-end device surfaced online and now we have further evidence in this direction.

The import-export tracker Zauba has been a good source for leaks in the past and now it reveals some info on the LG G3 Stylus. According the the aforementioned source, the new handset will sport a 720p 5.7-inch screen, while being underpinned by an unnamed quad-core CPU clocked at 1.3 GHz. The specs list also includes 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of native storage, 8 MP primary camera, and 1.3 MP secondary camera.

On the other hand, the G3 Stylus user agent profile on LG’s website is indicating a different screen resolution. According to it, the handset packs a qHD (540 x 960) resolution, which is a bit too low for a 5.7-inch device.

Short recap for the LG G3 Stylus specs: Android 4.4 KitKat, quad-core 1.3 GHz processor, 5.7-inch IPS screen with HD or qHD resolution, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB storage, 8 MP rear-facing camera, 1.3 MP user-facing camera, and LTE support. It’s also worth noting that the device has model number LG D690N.

The LG  G3 Stylus will not be the first smartphone of the company with stylus support. LG’s Optimus Vu series also had one, but they had no built in stylus slot. Anyway, if My LG Phones’ report is true, the Vu series will be discontinued this year and replaced by G3 Stylus. Anyway, there’s no way to verify the accuracy of the reports so we are advising you to take them with a pinch of salt.

If these rumors prove true, the the LG G3 Stylus will not be a competitor for Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3. We are expecting the new LG phablet to be officially introduced later next month during IFA Berlin 2014 tech fair.
