Yesterday, Motorola’s Shamu aka Nexus 6 got spotted in the logs of GFX Bench which were hinting at a 5.9-inch screen and Snapdragon 801 processor. Now we have fresh details about the highly-anticipated device as it made an appearance in AnTuTu Benchmarks.
Because the GFX Benchmark scores of the Nexus 6 were similar to the ones of other devices powered by Snapdragon 801, it was initially believed that the 5.9-inch screen of the Moto Shamu will only arrive with Full HD resolution. Well, the freshly leaked AnTuTu results contain more details about the technical specifications of the device labeled Google Shamu. What’s even more interesting is that the new leak dismisses some of the early rumors.
The screenshot of the AnTuTu benchmark log (pictured below) indicates that the handset is underpinned by a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2.7 GHz paired with an Adreno 420 GPU. It also mentions of 3 GB of RAM, 2.1 MP user-facing camera, and 13 MP primary shooter.
Even though it was reported that Motorola Shamu will have a 5.9-inch display, the benchmarked terminal sports a 5.2-inch screen with Quad HD (1440 x 2560) resolution. As expected, the smartphone is running Android L. As you may know, Google likes to name their homebrewed Nexus smartphones after aquatic animals, so the Shamu nickname checks out.
