Paranoid Android 4.5 Beta 2 Update for Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7, and Nexus 10 Now Rolling out

Paranoid Android 4.5 Beta 2

Paranoid Android 4.5 Beta 1 was made available for download less than a week ago and now a new update is live. The team that develops the popular custom ROM announced on Google Plus that Paranoid Android 4.5 Beta 2 update for Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Nexus 10, and other supported devices is now rolling out.
Besides stability improvements, Paranoid Android 4.5 Beta 2 brings design improvements for recents, the calculator is now theamable, and the merged Theme Engine changes. Of course, the new update also brings bug fixes. Because Android L is one everyone’s lips lately, the new Paranoid Android 4.5 builds are bringing some of the design elements of the new version of Google’s mobile operating system to the supported devices.
Even though the Paranoid Android 4.5 builds are labeled as “Beta” they are quite stable. I am currently running PA 4.5 Beta 2 on my Nexus 5 and I haven’t noticed any major glitches. We are glad to see that the Paranoid Android team is managing to release Beta builds on a weekly basis. Anyway it looks there are some issues for Flo and Deb builds, but the PA team promised they will be released today. This might be an indication that things are going as planned so we might see PA 4.5 hitting Stable stage before Android L is released for the public.
Besides the Paranoid Android 4.5 Beta 2 update for Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (2012 and 2014), and Nexus 10, the new builds have also been made available for other supported devices. OnePlus One, Oppo Find 5, Oppo Find 7, Oppo N1, and Galaxy Nexus are all compatible with the latest PA 4.5 Beta 2 builds. If you want to download the update files for your device, you will be able to find them on Paranoid Android’s site here.
If you previously installed a custom ROM on your smartphone or tablet you will probably be familiar to the install procedure for Paranoid Android 4.5 Beta 2. After you unlock the bootloader, root your device, and install a custom recovery, you will have to download PA 4.5 Beta 2 from here and Gapps for KitKat from here. Copy both ZIP files on the internal storage, boot into Recovery Mode, go to install ZIP, then flash PA 4.5 Beta 1 and Gapps. Apply factory reset, delete cache, and you should be running Paranoid Android after you reboot your device.
