'Rise of the Tomb Raider' Possibly Launching On The PS3 And Xbox 360 [DETAILS]

IGN has reported that recently announced video game "Rise of the Tomb Raider" may also be launching on the PS3 and Xbox 360.

The website explained that an Amazon listing shows that the two game consoles will launch along with the PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2015.

During a press conference at E3, Microsoft explained the game's setting and the game's protagonist Lara Croft.

"In the next chapter of her journey, Lara must use her survival skills and wits, learn to trust new friends, and ultimately accept her destiny as the Tomb Raider," Microsoft said. "Featuring epic, high-octane action moments, Rise of the Tomb Raider will take gamers to multiple locations around the world filled with exploration spaces that are some of the most beautifully hostile places on earth. In addition, after hearing the cry from fans loud and clear, the game will put the tombs back into “Tomb Raider" all in the franchise’s gritty Survival-Action style."

The "Tomb Raider" reboot last year was a success according to Crystal Dynamics Head Of Studios, Darrell Gallagher.

In a post on the game's official Tumblr, he noted that the reboot would sell more than six million copies by the end of March. With the game getting a release on the Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC, it was able to reach all video game audiences.

Gallagher also mentioned that the game already "achieved profitably" in 2013 and exceeded projections but is still helping out the company's finances.

He also mentioned in the post that there may be a sequel in the works for the "Tomb Raider" franchise.

"And like every great adventure, the story continues long after the initial launch. It's great to be able to look back at the last twelve months and share some of the achievements we are really proud of," he said. "We can't wait to continue our adventures with Lara in the sequel that is in development at Crystal Dynamics. We are also looking forward to building on the success and lessons learned from the reboot to continue redefining and setting new benchmarks for Tomb Raider in the years to come."
