Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date is right around the corner and as we are getting closer to the Unpacked event that will be held September 3rd, more details about the highly-anticipated smartphone are surfacing online. After we’ve heard a lot about the technical specifications of the smartphone, now we get to see the first detailed photos of the handset.
The photos leaked online courtesy of GSM Arena, revealing a front panel that looks a lot like the one of the current Note 3. Anyway, the back and the sides look new. As you can see in the gallery below, the rear end has a faux-leather texture, while the bezel around the edges appears to be metal-made. The S Pen stylus has a special slot in the lower left corner on the back of the phone. The back panel also accommodates what it seems to be a heart rate monitor. The leaked photos also revealed that the smartphone will have a speaker grill at the bottom end and a microUSB 3.0 port. Just like the Galaxy S5, the Note 4 will most likely be water and dust resistant.
Hardware-wise the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is expected to arrive with a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor or with an octo-core Exynos chipset in certain markets. The handset is also rumored to arrive with 3 GB of RAM, 32/64 GB of internal storage, microSD support, and a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button. It seems that the Note 3 follow-up will boast about a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Quad HD (2560 x 1440) resolution.
The next-gen Samsung phablet will run Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box, of course, customized with company’s TouchWiz interface. Samsung will definitely throw in some new S Pen-specific features. As I was mentioning above, the Galaxy Note 4 is expected to be announced next month during Samsung’s Unpacked event held on September 3rd at IFA Berlin 2014. What are your expectations for the new handset? Please let us know in comments.
