In addition to the Nokia Lumia 830, the most affordable Windows Phone flagship yet according to Microsoft, the company on Thursday also took the wraps off the previously rumored selfie phone, which will actually come in two flavors, including the Lumia 730 and Lumia 735.
The only differences between the two devices is that one packs dual SIM capabilities (the Lumia 730), while the other has single SIM 4G LTE powers (the Lumia 735).
Both smartphones have a 4.7-inch OLED display with 1280 x 720 resolution and “2.25D” curved glass, 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, microSD support, 15GB of free OneDrive cloud storage, 6.7-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel wide-angle front-facing cameras, 2,220mAh battery with Qi Wireless charging (only for the 4G LTE versions) and Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim update on top.
In addition to selfies-friendly front-facing camera, Microsoft has highlighted one other feature of these affordable Lumias, and that’s support for seamless call switching between regular voice calls and Skype video calls.
The phones will be available in orange, green, white and dark grey, and will have similar prices this September when they launch. The Lumia 730 will cost €199 ($262), and the 4G LTE Lumia 735 will retail for €219 ($288) – obviously these are off-contract prices.
