Mortal Kombat X
NetherRealm Studios has finally announced a release date for it's upcoming fighting game "Mortal Kombat X." According to IGN, will be released worldwide on April 14, 2015.
The game will launch for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. In addition, IGN revealed that the character Goro has been announced as pre-order DLC for gamers.
A recent trailer from NetherRealm Studios revealed that Kano will also be a part of "Mortal Kombat X." The character is familiar to most longtime players due to him being a playable character since the inception of the series.
The clip includes an intro from series co-creator Ed Boon, who walks through Kano's three fighting styles and explains the cybernetic upgrades the character has gotten.

In other fighting game news, an extended trailer for "Tekken 7" was shown at the Bandai Namco's Fighting Game panel during this week's San Diego Comic-Con.

Taka Kawasaki, studio head at Epic Games Japan, recently discussed excitement for "Tekken 7" in a press release. Kawasaki said that the partnership between Bandai Namco and Epic Games is perfect for the next game because it will lead to great results.
"The Tekken franchise is beloved and we couldn't be more excited to be working with the talented team at Bandai Namco," Kawasaki said. "This marriage is perfect — the most powerful engine in gaming along with one of the most enduring brands in fighting games. We have no doubt that these forces coming together will yield fantastic results."
