Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Release Date in the UK Set for October 10

Earlier this month, on September 3rd, Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy Note 4 during their Unpacked event held at IFA Berlin. Back then, South Korean phone maker failed to reveal the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date, but now they are back with fresh details regarding the market launch of their high-end phablet.

Samsung issued a press release today saying that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date for the UK maker has been set for October 10. The company’s UK-based retail sores will start accepting pre-orders for the new device as of September 19, while the country’s big retailers Three and Carphone Wearhouse will open up pre-orders a week later, September 26. Samsung also notes that “other selected online and high street retailers” in the UK will have the Galaxy Note 4 up for pre-order on September 26, as well. Unfortunately, the Asian company haven’t revealed any details about the Note 4 pricing, but expect more information in this direction to surface as soon as the pre-orders begin.

As you may know, Samsung’s Unpacked event also marked the debut of the Galaxy Note Edge. The same press conference confirms that the Note Edge will be “released in selected markets, with UK availability to be confirmed in due course.”

I remind you that Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 boasts about a 1440 x 2560 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 515 ppi pixel density and Gorilla Glass 3 protection, a Snapdragon 805 SoC with quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 CPU and Adreno 420 GPU, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB storage, and support for microSD cards up to 128 GB. Note 4 also arrives with a 3,220 mAh battery with fast charging support (goes from 0 – 50% in about 30 minutes), a 16 MP primary shooter with phase detection autofocus, optical image stabilization, and 4K video recording support, 3.7 MP user-facing cam with Wide Selfie functionality, a fingerprint sensor, heart rate monitor, and, of course an S Pen stylus. The smartphone is running Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box, customized with Samsung’s proprietary TouchWiz interface.
