It’s Monday so it’s time for our weekly Best Android Apps column. As usual, we are trying to find the best apps that went live in Google Play Store in a week’s time so you won’t have to search for them.
In the Best Android Apps of the Week post we are featuring both new apps and older apps that received noteworthy updates. Here you will be able to find both payed and free apps, while some may come with in-app purchases. Without further ado, let’s have a look at the apps.
LastPass 3.3 – Free
The latest LastPass update is now being rolled out to users. It bumps the app to version 3.3 which arrives with a couple of useful new features.
LastPass 3.3 introduces folder sharing and management (includes support for the Shared Family Folder and LastPass Enterprise), option to reprompt immediately after screen lock, and support forSynaptics fingerprint readers on new phones. The new update also promises to reduce network data and memory usage, bug fixes and more.

Dropbox 2.4.5 – Free
Dropbox is one of the most popular cloud storage services in the world, and, of course, it has an Android client. The Dropbox app has been updated to version 2.4.5 over the past week.
After the new update you will be able to save files to your SD card and other UI tweaks. Dropbox is now getting Android L-ish file management interface, and faster search.

Wunderlist – Free
Wunderlist is a popular to-do list manager and it got updated to a new version. Even though it’s not a major update, I am pretty sure most users will enjoy the new functionality.
The latest update introduces the ability to attach Dropbox files to your list. You will find the new feature under the detail view menu. For what it’s worth, the Wunderlist developers promised that more services will receive integration in the near future.

TiVo – Free
If you are a TiVo DVR customer the following news would make you happy. You will now be able to user your phone or tablet to control your TiVo DVR.
After the latest update, the TiVo users will now be able to stream content on their Android devices. It works on both phones and tablets and now you will be able to do this away from home.

Pushbullet – Free
Pushbullet is without a doubt one of the most useful apps in Google Play Store. In case you don’t know it already you will be able to use it to send links from your PC to your phone/tablet and vice-versa, mirror your notifications on your PC, and more
The latest Pushbullet update introduces channels. This new feature allows you to receive notifications whenever something new happens in the feeds you are subscribed to.

Waze 3.9 – Free
Google acquired Waze for almost $1 billion more than a year ago. Even so, the Mountain View-based giant didn’t kill the stand-alone Waze service. In fact, the Waze app just got a new update.
In Waze 3.9 you will be able to add custom locations to the map. Besides that you will also be able to suggest parking information, add photos for context, and more. After the new update Waze also remembers where you parked your car and it will drop a pin on the map.

BASE Music Sensor – Free
Shazam and Sound Hound are two of the most popular solutions when it comes to identifying music. The folks at Widdit have launched BASE Music Sensor which aims to gun down the king.
According to the developers, BASE Music Sensor is listening music in the background and allows you to go back and see what song was that. And this won’t cause heavy battery drain. At least that’s what the developers claim. You will then be able to sort your music by location, time, or activity.

Google Play Newsstand – Free
Almost a year ago, the folks at Google changed Play Magazines to Newsstand, mixing Magazines and Currents in one app. Now, Play Newsstand has received a major update.
The latest update brings Play Newsstand into the world of Material Design. Or at least that’s what the Android Blog claims. The new update brings larger images, more contextual headers, and smoother transitions, also improving the Newsstand experience for phones.

Netflix 3.8 – Free
Netflix is no doubt a popular service and so is their Android client. The Netflix Android app has been updated to version 3.8.
The new update brings enhanced search functionality which is a reminiscent of the Netflix web interface. It also introduces “background playback” and the ability to manage multiple Netflix profiles.
