Metal-made Samsung Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3 Leak Again
Not long ago, the folks at Samsung were made fun of because they did’t use premium materials on their phones. Samsung tried to change the public’s perception and launched the Galaxy Alpha with a metallic frame around its edges back in August. Next-up came the Note 4 which borrowed the metal build of the Alpha, but it looks like there are more metallic Samsung smartphones in the works.
We first learned of the new Galaxy A line-up of smartphones a few weeks ago and we already know that the new family will have three mid-range members with metal frames. The devices are called Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, and Galaxy A7 and bring 4.5-, 5.0-, and 5.5-inch screens, respectively. Now we get to look at more leaked photos of the former two.
The first batch of leaked photos arrive courtesy of Phone Arena and they picture the Galaxy A5. The photos look like official renders of the said device and match with the previous sightings of the smartphones. If the rumors are to be believed, Galaxy A5 measures 139.3 x 69.7 x 6.7 mm, while sporting a 5.0-inch HD Super AMOLED display, quad-core Snapdragon 410 CPU, 2 GB of RAM, and 13 MP primary camera. It could also run Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box and pack a 2,300 mAh battery.
A couple of spy shots that hit the web via @AndroidMX are showing the Galaxy A5 next to its little sibling, the Galaxy A3. It’s pretty hard to tell whether the two devices have a metallic frame like Galaxy Alpha, especially after certain sources claim that it’s actually a non-metallic material that feels cold to the touch.
Either way, the two devices look pretty nice and I am sure that they will be appealing to those not wanting to spent a little fortune on a phone. Would you be tempted to by a Galaxy A smartphone? Please let us know in comments.
