Motorola officially introduced their flagship smartphone for 2014, the Moto X 2nd gen, early September and it made it available for purchase on select markets soon after. If you were planning to get your hands on the Moto X 2014 and you happen to live in the UK, we are glad to announce you that you can now fulfill your desire through Moto Maker.

Starting October 1st, the people living in the UK were able to place their orders for a Moto X directly on Motorola’s website. For the time being, the Pure Edition variant is the only one available, but I am sure that more will be coming soon. Anyway this is definitely the Moto X variant you will want to buy, because it doesn’t arrive with network restrictions or carrier-specific bloatware.

Motorola UK is selling the Moto X 2014 starting at £419.99. This amount of money will bring you a device with plastic back and 16 GB of storage. If you start adding options such as 32 GB storage, leather, or wood the price can climb up to £479.99. In fact, the wood / leather option costs £20, while 16 GB of extra storage will cost you £40 more.

As a refresher, Moto X packs a 1080p 5.2-inch AMOLED display with a pixel density of 424 ppi and Gorilla Glass 3 protection, while being powered by a Snapdragon 801 SoC with quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU. The technical specifications list also includes 16/32 GB of native storage, 2 GB of RAM, 2,300 mAh battery, and connectivity features such as HSPA+, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy, NFC, and microUSB 2.0. On the back of the device there’s a 13 MP shooter with dual-LED flash and 4K video recording support, while the front panel accommodates a 2 MP camera capable of recording 1080p videos. Moto X 2014 is running Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box and Motorola promised it will bring Android L to it.
