The newest flagship device from Google is titled Nexus 6 and it has been presented earlier today. It will arrive early November worldwide alongside the Nexus 9 tablet. Both new Nexus models will be running Google’s latest Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.
Nexus 6 is built by Motorola and it might possibly pack the most impressive lineup of hardware specs: a 5.96 inches Quad HD AMOLED screen, 1440 x 2560 resolution and 493 PPI, 2.7 GHz Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor, Adreno 420 GPU, 3 GB RAM, 13MP camera with optical image stabilization, 2MP front-facing camera, 3220 mAh battery, 32GB and 64GB internal storage. But, its new impressive feature is that it features double front-facing speakers for better stereo sound, so that you will better enjoy all the media content that’s stored on your device.
The official pre-order date is set for October 29, but there is no official shipping date set at the moment. However, we are expecting Google to launch the device early November all over the world. All major carriers such as Verizon Wireless, Sprint, AT&T, Sprint and US Cellular have announced that they will sell Nexus 6 by the end of this year.
Pricing for the Motorola / Google Nexus 6 is set at $649.99 off-contract for the 32GB model, while the 64GB variant will be sold starting at $699.99. It might not be the cheapest ‘phablet’ Android device, but Google still hopes that it will be able to sell enough models in order to justify the ‘Nexus’ series.
With Android 5.0 Lollipop running as its default stock OS, the Nexus 6 will probably offer one of the most complete Android experiences ever seen on a smartphone. Android 5.0 comes with tons of great new features such as the Material Design UI, new call and message notifications, better Notifications menu, improved multitasking, etc.
Another great thing about the Nexus 6 is that it comes with a Turbo Charger that will offer you the possibility to gain 6 hours of battery life after charging the device for only 15 minutes. A complete charge should hold easily 24 hours without you needing to look for the charger. You can register at Motorola in order to get extra Nexus 6 related updates, offers and promotions.
The release date for the Nexus 6 should be official in the following days, as pre-orders have been confirmed to be accepted starting with October 29. In early November Nexus 6 will be shipped to 28 countries worldwide.
