Samsung Galaxy A3 Photo and Specs Leak Through TENAA

Earlier this month Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge. It looks though that the South Koreans are planning to release more smartphones this year. The rumor mill says that Sammy is readying a line-up of mid-range smartphones called A series which are based on the design of the Galaxy Alpha.

The three new devices are called Samsung Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, and Galaxy A7. The former model is the lower end of the three and it was recently spotted at Chine telecommunications equipment certification center TENAA. Galaxy A3 has a 4.5-inch display and, as you can see in the above photo, it has a metallic frame around its body just like the Galaxy Alpha or the Note 4.

Besides revealing how the Samsung Galaxy A3 will look like, the TENAA listing also allowed us to see most of the terminal’s technical specifications. The smartphone brings a 4.5-inch AMOLED display with 540 x 960 resolution, while previous reports have revealed that the A% will have a 5-inch screen with 720p resolution. The processing tasks of the A3 will be handled by a quad-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 processor paired with 1 GB of RAM. The technical specifications list also includes 8 GB of internal storage, 8 MP rear-facing camera, and a 5 MP user-facing shooter. Galaxy A3 is 130.1 mm tall, 65.5 mm wide, 6.9 mm thin, weighs in at 112 grams, and runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box.

Previous reports have revealed that while the A3 will sport a 4.5-inch screen, the A5 and A7 will come with 5-inch and 5.5-inch displays respectively. Also, while the A3 is the lower end smartphone of the series, the A7 is the most powerful of the three. As you might have guessed already, the A3 will also be the cheaper, with a reported price of between $350 and $400 unlocked. The Galaxy A5 is expected to have a price tag between $400 and $450, while the Galaxy A7 might cost between $450 – $500.
