News: Sony Xperia Z3 coming to T-Mobile, HP 10 Plus, FreedomPop has its own devices
We are seeing a flurry of new devices coming from Sony, HP… and even FreedomPop. What’s going on here?!
Sony Xperia Z3 coming to T-Mobile
Sony devices usually take a long time to get to the USA, but it seems Sony and T-Mobile are about to change this. Sony has just announced a New York event that will take place this October 9th.
The event is associated with the hashtag #DemandGreat, which is the tagline Sony is using for its new devices. Chances are we will hear from Sony and T-Mobile here, and the star of the show should be the Xperia Z3.
Opinion: We have just published our review of the Sony Xperia Z3 and we are completely in love with the device. Will you be getting one? I think I may.
HP 10 Plus released without announcement
Who needs parties, announcements and fireworks? What matters is getting devices out there. That is what HP is doing with the unannounced release of the HP 10 Plus.
The $279.99 tablet doesn’t look half bad for the price. It touts a 10.1-inch 1920x1200p display, a 1 GHz quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, 5MP/2MP cameras and a 7700 mAh battery.

Opinion: This is not a bad tablet for the price, but I am having a hard time trying to set it aside from the crowd. There is nothing really outstanding here. Regardless, it’s a good deal.
FreedomPop now selling its own devices
FreedomPop is known across the USA for offering a limited amount of free monthly voice, text and data. It’s a great deal if you live within good Sprint coverage (that’s the network they use).
So far they have sold popular and affordable devices, but they are stepping into new territory today. The company is releasing a FreedomPop-branded tablet – theFreedomPop Liberty. It sports a 7-inch display, a 1.2 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage and a 2 MP camera.
The issue is it only features WiFi, but they also plan to release the FreedomPop Frenzy a 4G LTE-capable device said to come in November.
Opinion: At only $89, the FreedomPop Liberty is not a bad deal, but I would wait for the data-connected one. Why would a carrier even sell a tablet with no data connectivity?
