Sony’s high-end 4.6-inch Xperia Z3 Compact is now available for purchase in the US through Sony’s online store. The Z3 Compact has a price of $529.99 which is great for a terminal that is comfortably more powerful than its same-size competitors.
The Xperia Z3 Compact was officially introduced at IFA Berlin in September and shares most of the technical specifications of its bigger brother, the Xperia Z3. The Z3 Compact is one of the few high-end smartphones with a display smaller than 5 inches.
As I was mentioning above, Sony Xperia Z3 Compact is now available for purchase on Sony’s US online store at a price of $529.99. This makes Sony’s compact smartphone $120 cheaper than its main rival, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. Furthermore, if you are a student you will get a discount and you will be able to get your hands on the device for $477.
I remind you that Sony’s Xperia Z3 Compact arrives with a 4.6-inch IPS LCD display with 720 x 1280 resolution, while measuring 127.3 x 64.9 x 8.6 mm and having a weight of just 129 grams. The device has a IP68 certification meaning that it’s dust proof and water resistant over 1 meter and 30 minutes. The terminal is underpinned by a Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 SoC with four Krait 400 cores clocked at 2.5 GHz and Adreno 330 GPU paired with 2 GB of RAM. It also arrives with 16 GB of internal storage expandable using microSD cards up to 128 GB, 2,600 mAh battery, 2.2 MP user-facing camera, and 20.7 MP primary shooter with autofocus LED flash, 1/2.3” sensor size, geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR, panorama, and support for 4K video recording. Connectivity wise, it brings LTE, HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy, NFC, and microUSB 2.0.
