Android 5.0 Lollipop Quick Start Guide Available for Free on Google Play
With more and more devices tagged for a soon to come Android 5.0 Lollipop update, we are all trying to check what’s new in this highly expected and major Android release. Well, in case you want some inside news and a free tutorial on how to use Android 5.0 Lollipop on your Android smartphone or tablet, you can now access Google Play in order to download the free Quick Start Guide. The book has been released on Play Books and it’s available for free.
I know that it’s not much, but as Google did with KitKat when the Android 4.4 Quick Start Guide was made available on Google Play, now we have a similar book that explains how to use Android 5.0 Lollipop on your smartphone or tablet. Of course the book is referring only to stock Android built, thus it is developed on the firmware that will be provided for the Nexus branded devices. The Quick Start Guide comes with regular guidelines so if you are an advanced user you won’t find anything to rely on. As you know, Google also provided a small book specifically aimed at teaching developers ways to develop and improve apps on Google Play.
For now only the English version of the Lollipop Quick Start Guide is available, though during the following days more languages will be supported. As already pointed out, the book can be downloaded for free from Play Book Store.
Now if you want to really test the new Android platform, then you can test an unofficial port right on your Android device – use our dedicated step by step tutorials in that matter. Also, the official roll out is not far and you will be able to learn by yourselves how to manage Lollipop and how to properly use the new features included by Google on its new platform.
