HTC One M8 Android 4.4.4 Update with Eye Experience Will Roll out in Canada Tomorrow
If you live in Canada and you happen to own an HTC One M8, we have great news for you. According to HTC’s Mo Versi the HTC One M8 Android 4.4.4 update with Eye Experience software suite will be pushed to the Canadian users starting November 11.
Mo Versi’s tweet says that HTC One M8 Android 4.4.4 update for Rogers, Telus, and Bell will be rolled out “starting at 9 am PST tomorrow with Eye SW,” so keep an eye on the notifications panel. As usual, the update is being rolled out in phases, which means that some of you might not be able to download and install it right away. As I was mentioning above, the new update also brings the camera-centric Eye Experience software suite that debuted on the Desire Eye. You will be able to enjoy features like face tracking, split capture, “Face Fusion,” voice selfie, live makeup, and photo booth.
As you may already know, once your device becomes eligible to receive the new update, you should be able to see a system update message in the notifications bar. Tap on it, choose ‘Download now,’ wait until the download is completed, then choose ‘Install now.’ The smartphone should reboot and install the new firmware. In case the system update notification failed to appear, you would also want to perform a manual check under Settings > About phone > Software updates > Check for software updates.
Unfortunately, there’s no official information regarding the size of the HTC One M8 Android 4.4.4 update file. Anyway, you should expect it to weigh in at around 500 MB. Therefore it’s recommended to use a stable WiFi network while downloading the update file in order to avoid unwanted data charges.
