Nexus 5 Android 5.0 Lollipop Factory Image Now Available for Download
The Nexus 5 Android 5.0 Lollipop factory image is now available for download. Back in October, Google officially introduced Android 5.0 Lollipop to the public. Even though it was initially reported that the new update would hit the first devices November 3rd, Lollipop wasn’t released until yesterday.
As usual, the Nexus 5 Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA update roll out was soon followed by the release of Lollipop factory image in Google repository. The build is labeled LRX21O and it has a size of around 550 MB.
You probably know already that if the Nexus 5 Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA update didn’t to hit your device you have a couple of options available to get the new firmware on your terminal. If you run an official stock firmware you can use the Nexus 5 OTA zip files, but if you are coming from a custom ROM the only option is to flash a factory image.
The Nexus 5 Android 5.0 Lollipop factory image can be downloaded from here and you will need to flash it on your device from your PC. Note that flashing a factory image on your smartphone require some technical skills and that the procedure will wipe all the data on your device. Android 5.0 Lollipop is the most major update Android has seen since its debut, bringing a lot of new features and new functionality. The update arrives with a new design philosophy called Material Design, revamped notifications bar and quick settings, lock screen notifications, multi-user support for phones, Android Runtime (ART) instead of Dalvik, dynamic status bar, and more.
