Android 5.0 Lollipop Factory Images for Nexus 7 2012 and 2013 Now Up for Grabs
Google officially announced Android 5.0 Lollipop mid-October. After almost a month, the new update is now being pushed to users, while the Nexus 7 Android 5.0 Lollipop factory images are available for download.
As you may know, the Nexus 7 Android 5.0 Lollipop is being rolled out in batches, which means that some users might have to wait for the update longer than others. In case you are running a stock official firmware and the update hasn’t hit your device yet, you also have the possibility to manually force it using the OTA ZIPs. Unfortunately, the Nexus 7 Lollipop update ZIPs aren’t available at the moment, so, if Google decided your unit is not worthy of an upgrade and you are tired of waiting, your only option is to flash a factory image.
The Nexus 7 Android 5.0 Lollipop factory images have been made available for both 2012 and 2013 models. For the time being, only the Nexus 7 2012 WiFi and Nexus 7 2013 WiFi got the update and therefore the factory images. The builds for both devices are labelled LRX21P.
You can download the Android 5.0 Lollipop factory images for Nexus 7 2012 and Nexus 7 2013 from here. Flashing a factory image on your device require advanced skills, we’re not recommending you to install one unless you have any idea what you’re doing.
