Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Android 5.0 Lollipop Update Showed on Video

Google officially announced Android 5.0 Lollipop mid-October and, for the time being, the new update is only available for Nexus devices and a couple of Motorola smartphones. Of course, other OEMs will also bring the new firmware to their devices and Samsung is definitely one of them. In the meantime, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Android 5.0 Lollipop update has been demoed on video.

It was reported a couple of weeks ago that the South Korean phone maker is planning to release the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 sometime late December or early January, synchronized with the release of the same update for Galaxy S4. For what it’s worth, both Galaxy S5 and Note 4 are expected to receive the Lollipop update early December.

Anyway, the Galaxy Note 3 Android 5.0 Lollipop update previewed by the folks at Sammobile is a test build and is no way ready for prime-time. As you can see in the video below, the new update brings a revamped interface with new and smoother animations, while the stock green elements of Lollipop are replaced by “Samsung’s signature blue color.” The Galaxy Note 3 Android 5.0 Lollipop update will also bring the new and enhanced Multi-Window feature from the Galaxy Note 4.

You probably know already that once your terminal becomes eligible to receive the new update, you should be able to notice a system update message in the notification panel. Tap on it then follow the on-screen instructions. You can also check for the update manually under Settings > More > About device > Software updates > Check for software updates, or you can connect the smartphone to the PC using the USB cable and perform a check via KIES. Anyway, there’s no reason to do this right now as the update won’t be released sooner than the aforementioned date.
