Samsung Gear S Released in India
Samsung is expending the market availability of Gear S as the company officially released its high end smartwatch in India. The watch is currently available in South Korea, US,UK and now in India, where it became the most expensive smartwatch that can be bought at this moment.
In South Korea, Samsung’s own home, Gear S is a real success, as the company managed to sell more than 10.000 units from first day of launch. Similar numbers are registered in other regions too which makes Samsung the best smartwatch manufacturer despite Sony’s and Motorola’s own achievements.
Samsung Gear S is highly appreciated as it comes with integrated support for SIM card, which means that you can initiate and receive calls right on your watch without having to use a smartphone in addition. The device also features 3G, WiFi, A-GPS and Bluetooth connectivity, while specs wise it brings 4 GB of internal storage, 512 MB of RAM, a dual core processor clocked at 1 GHz along with a 2 inch Super AMOLED curved display and a 300 mAh battery. The smartwatch also features great in built apps such as accelerometer, UV sensor, and heart-rate monitor.
In India, pre orders form this device have been opened since last week and now the first customers received their ordered smartwatches. Two retails are providing the handset, Amazon and Samsung eStore; the price tagged for Gear S is INR 27,900 (~$454), so if you want one for yourself don’t hesitate and ask further details from the mentioned retails.
