Xiaomi Redmi 3 with 5-inch display, octa-core chipset spotted online

While all eyes are on the Mi 5, two unannounced Xiaomi smartphones have been spotted on China’s TENAA. While the listed smartphones are known by their codenames Mi 2015811 and Mi 2015812, they could be two variants of the Redmi 3.

As per the listing, the Xiaomi Mi 2015811 flaunts a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) TFT display, and is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It also has 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded using a microSD card.

The smartphone also features a 13-megapixel or 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, and connectivity options like 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. On the software front, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The Xiaomi Mi 2015812, on the other hand, features a 5.5-inch display, 1.8GHz Snapdragon 808 hexa-core chipset paired with 2GB of RAM, and 16GB internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card.

The smartphone also features a 16-megapixel or 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, a fingerprint scanner and connectivity options like 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. On the software front, it runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
