Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India to launch on PC, PS4 and Xbox
The popular gaming franchise Assassin’s Creed is coming to India. Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India will be available as a digital download from tomorrow on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles is essentially a spin-off of the main franchise and unlike the main games, is available in 2.5D format. The first chapter in the Chronicles was based in China, and as the name suggests, the latest iteration is based in India. The story is set in 1841 amid rising tensions between the Sikh empire and the East India Company.
You play as an assassin, called Arbaaz Mir, who is on a mission to protect the Kohinoor diamond from the evil Templars. While completing his missions, Mir also has to ensure the safety of his lover, Pyara Kaur.
The first gameplay trailer was recently released, and the look and feel is something you would expect from the West. Ancient India is full of minarets, jungles, elephants, and villagers, and the overall setting is not much unlike what we have seen in the Prince of Persia franchise. In addition to the setting, we get a glimpse at some action scenes. Mir’s favored weapon seems to be a trident that fits within his sleeve and replaces the usual knife that previous assassins favored.
The Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India will be launched tomorrow as a digital download for the PC, PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One. The last iteration, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia, will be released on February 9.
