Xiaomi launches 10,000mAh Mi Power Bank Prime with USB Type-C port and Fast Charge support
Xiaomi has quietly launched a new power bank in China, called the Mi Power Bank Prime. The 10,000mAh power bank’s highlight is the USB Type-C port and Fast Charge support. The Mi Power Bank Prime is going on sale in China, priced at 149 Yuan (Rs 1,500 approximately). There is however no word on when it could launch in India.
Despite the size of the battery underneath, Xiaomi has managed to keep the thickness down to 12.58mm. This is quite impressive when you compare it with the 10,000mAh Mi Power Bank (22mm) launched last year.
The Mi Power Bank Prime supports two-way Fast Charge up to 18W. Xiaomi says the Mi Power Bank Prime can charge the Mi Note in less than two hours, as opposed to nearly two and half hours using a standard power bank. Similarly, where a standard charger would take about six hours to completely charge the power bank, an 18W charger will fully charge the power bank prime in 3.5 hours.
Lastly, Xiaomi says that the Mi Power Bank Prime can charge a Mi Note 2.5 times, and iPhone 6 up to four times, and an iPad mini up to 1.5 times. While there is no word on its India launch, Xiaomi last week announced it will launch the 20,000mAh Mi Power Bank in India soon.
