LG G Pad 7.0 Now Available in Europe, Other Models to Follow in the Coming Weeks

About a month ago the South Korean company announced they will be expanding their current G Pad tablet family with three new models: the G Pad 7.0, G Pad 8.0, and G Pad 10.1 Now, LG officially revealed that the 7-inch model will become available for purchase in Europe this week, followed by its bigger siblings in the coming weeks.

While last year’s LG G Pad 8.3 was aiming to attract the customers looking for a high-end tablet, the new slates are orientated towards the mid-range segment. All three tablets have identical hardware specifications, of course with different screen size and battery.

The new G Pad tablets feature 1280 x 800 screens, while being powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. The technical specs list also include 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage (only 8 GB for the G Pad 7.0), support for microSD cards up to 64 GB, 5 MP rear-facing camera (again only 3 MP for the 7-inch model), 1.3 MP user-facing camera, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB v2.0.

In terms of software, hey all run Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box, of course customized with LG’s proprietary UI. While the LG G Pad 7.0 is kept alive by a 4,000 mAh battery, the LG G Pad 8.0 and G Pad 10.1 feature 4,200 and 8,000 mAh batteries, respectively.

Because I’ve mentioned about software earlier, I will also remind you that all three tablets include Knock Code (allows the user to double-tap the display to unlock) and QPair 2.0 (pair the tablet with a smartphone to answer calls).

As I was mentioning above the LG G Pad 7.0 is already rolling out on select European countries and if you want to get your hands on the device you should also know that it’s available in six color variants: Black, White, Red, Luminous Orange, and Luminous Blue. Unfortunately, LG failed to announce the pricing and the exact availability of the 7 incher.
