The Galaxy S saga will continue next year and, even though the Galaxy S5 is on the market for less than half a year, the media and the Samsung fans alike have turned their attention towards the Galaxy S6. The Samsung Galaxy S6 release date is still a mystery, but rumors of the new Sammy flagship are making the headlines.
According to AirHerald, the Samsung Galaxy S6 will arrive with a UHD screen with 3840 x 2160 resolution. Anyway we don’t know how reliable the publication is, therefore we are advising you to take the report with an adequate pinch of salt.
Other sources in the industry are reporting that the next-gen Samsung flagship might arrive with a Youm-like screen, bent over the edges of the device. Anyway, don’t hold your breath on that. Even though the curved displays are indeed cool, Samsung would probably want to test the public’s reaction to them with a smartphone outside the Galaxy S line-up.
If the rumors are to be believed, the Samsung Galaxy S6 will feature a 20 MP primary camera with support for 4K video recording and Optical Image Stabilization. For what it’s worth, the Galaxy S5 was also rumored to come with an OIS module. It seems though that the South Korean company wasn’t able to manufacture enough OIS modules which would have caused serious stock shortages.
As you may know the Android L release comes with support for 64-bit processor. Since the Galaxy S6 will definitely run Android L out of the box, we are sure that Samsung will squeeze a 64-bit processor under its hood as they will become mainstream as of next year. The amount of RAM could also be increased to 4 GB.
As for the Samsung Galaxy S6 release date, many sources seem to indicate that the device will see the light of day sometime late March or early April 2015. Anyway, it’s a bit to early to speculate on the Galaxy S6 as a lot of things can change in the South Korean company’s strategy for 2014.
