Samsung Galaxy S3 users can finally enjoy the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update thanks to the new ParanoidAndroid Final ROM. Unfortunately Samsung has stopped supporting the Galaxy S3, so users won’t receive another official update for it, but third-party developers are still working hard to bring new features to the now 2-years old device.
ParanoidAndroid Final ROM brings everything from Android 4.4.4 KitKat, along with their own improvements, which are considered even better than Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI. If you want to flash the ParanoidAndroid Final ROM, you have to know that you need to root your device first, though that’s not very hard to do and we have plenty of guides to help you. The ROM comes with a lot of features that you’ll definitely enjoy, like a redesigned volume panel, improved hover interface, PIE controls and PEEK, a better theme engine, battery tile and status indicator, a revamped recent menu, improved documents user interface and a lot of bug fixes.
You should know that this Android 4.4.4 KitKat ROM only works with the Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300 for the moment, but it should become available for other variants soon, so stick around with us as we’ll let you know when this happens.
