Mid-range LG L Fino and LG L Bello to Be Announced at IFA Berlin 2014

LG officially revealed today that they are ready to debut two new L series smartphones next month at IFA Berlin 2014. The new smartphones are called LG L Fino and LG L Bello and are aimed at the emerging markets, being marketed as “powerful alternatives to higher-priced smartphones.”

The South Korean company announced that the two new handsets are both compatible with 3G networks and that they will become available for purchase in Latin America, certain European countries, Asia, and CIS. The price and availability haven’t been revealed.

Design-wise, the L Fino and L Bellow have the same rear button placement as the LG G2 and LG G3. Both arrive with 8 MP primary shooters with the company’s proprietary camera software that promise above average photo quality, while packing some of the software features of the G3, including Knock Code and QuickCircle.

The LG L Bello is underpinned by a quad-core 1.3 GHz processor, while sporting a 5-inch screen with 854 x 480 resolution and 1 GB of RAM. L Bello also arrives with 8 GB of native storage, 8 MP primary cam, 1 MP secondary cam, and a 2,540 mAh battery. The handset comes pre-loaded with Android 4.4.2 KitKat and it will be available in three color options: White, Black, and Gold.

On the other hand, LG L Fino boasts about a 4.5-inch display with 800 x 480 resolution. The device is powered by a quad-core 1.2 GHz CPU, has 1 GB of RAM, and 4 GB of storage. The technical specifications of the L Fino also include 8 MP rear-facing camera, VGA user-facing camera, 1,900 mAh battery, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box. There will be five color options for the L Fino: White, Black, Gold, Red, and Green.

Even though the L Bello and L Fino might not be the most powerful smartphones on the market, there’s a pretty big market for mid-to-low-end smartphones as well. Motorola’s Moto E and Moto G are the best examples, two handsets that became highly popular courtesy of their competitive price.

As I was mentioning above, both the LG L Bello and the LG L Fino will be officially revealed in September at IFA 2014. I am sure that we will get further details during LG’s press conference at the Berlin-based event.
