Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Release Date Confirmed for September 3rd, As If There Was Any Doubt

The Galaxy Note 4 is one of the most anticipated smartphones of the second half of the year which was expected to debut at IFA 2014. Now, the South Korean company sent in the invitations for an Unpacked event held on September 3rd, therefore confirming the Galaxy Note 4 release date.

According to the above invitation, Samsung will hold the Unpacked 2014 event on Wednesday, September 3rd, in Berlin, at 2 PM. There is no doubt that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be officially unveiled at the said event. Anyway, the it was reported a long time ago that the Note 4 release date will be September 3rd.

Why was everybody so confident that the Galaxy Note 4 will be introduced September 3rd, two days before IFA 2014 will open its gates for the public? Because it checks with Samsung’s pattern for launching Note smartphones. The original Galaxy Note smartphone was introduced in the first day of IFA 2011, while the next two generations were unveiled in separate events two days before IFA 2012 and IFA 2013 opened their gates for the public.

For what it’s worth, the Galaxy Note 4 is not the only Samsung device expected to debut at the Berlin-based tech fair. Rumor has it that the South Korean phone maker is also planning to introduce a metal-made Galaxy Alpha and a Google Glass competitor called Galaxy VR.

Hardware-wise, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will reportedly arrive with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, 3 GB of RAM, and a 16 MP rear-facing camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). Samsung will also keep the heart rate monitor and the fingerprint sensor from the Galaxy S5. Sources in the industry are also reporting that the Galaxy Note 4 will arrive with an UV sensor. The next-gen Samsung phablet will most likely run Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, of course, customized with company’s proprietary TouchWiz UI.
