Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to Be Released in Less Than Two Weeks After Announcement

It’s no longer a mystery that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date has been scheduled for September 3rd. The new Sammy phablet is one of the most anticipated smartphones of the second half of the year and as its announcement draws near the reports are starting to pile up. We’ve heard previous rumors saying that the new Galaxy Note 4 will be released soon after the IFA 2014 announcement, but now we might have something new on the matter.

According to a document sent to Android Authority by a tipster that reportedly works for Samsung, the new handset might be released on the market on September 15th. The said document is notifying Samsung employees over two black out periods for time-off in September: the 3rd through the 7th (when the Galaxy Note 4 will be announced at IFA Berlin) and the 15th through 28th (when the smartphone will probably be made available for purchase). Even though the new Samsung phablet’s quick market debut is not as impressive as the one of the HTC One M8 (on the day of the announcement), it’s still way faster than what we’ve seen from the South Korean phone maker in the past.

Unfortunately, there’s no way to verify the veracity of the tipster’s claims, therefore we are advising you to take the report with a pinch of salt. Anyway, the document and the reported market release of the Galaxy Note 4 check out with previous rumors saying that the device will be released soon after its official launch.

Hardware-wise, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is expected to arrive with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 1440 x 2560 resolution, quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of native storage, microSD, 16 MP rear-facing camera with OIS and 4K video recording, fingerprint sensor, heart rate monitor, and UV sensor. The new smartphone will probably run Android 4.4.2 out of the box.
