Ubisoft Pushes Back 'Assassin's Creed Unity' To November

Ubisoft has announced that "Assassin's Creed Unity" has been pushed back from it's original Oct. 28. release date.

Vincent Pontbriand, senior producer at Ubisoft explained why the game was pushed back.

"This being a fully next-gen game, it requires a lot of work, a lot of production, and a lot of learning. It's always hard to be precise and to quantify exactly how much work is involved," Pontbriand said. 'So as we get close to the finish we often realize we're near the target but we're not quite there yet."

The game will now launch on PS4, Xbox One and PC on Nov. 11 in North America and Nov. 13 in Europe and Australasia.

A new video has been released by PlayStation focusing on Ubisoft's upcoming release "Assassin's Creed Unity."

The clip features Ubisoft Montreal's Vincent Pontbriand discussing developing the game returning to the franchise's returning to it's peak tradition by focusing on it's original strengths. Those strengths included were navigation, stealth, and game's engine.

"Assassin's Creed Unity" creative director Alex Amancio talked to Examiner in July about the upcoming game in an interview. During the interview, Amancio claimed that the next-gen game will be a new "narrative start."

"It's a new start, it's a new narrative start. That is symbolized by a completely new context for the present day," he said. "You've seen a little bit of an evolution with Black Flag, [but] we're not going to do the same thing. What we're doing with Unity is really the beginning [of] this new cycle of Assassin's Creed games."

Amancio also claimed that the game will be a great way for new players to jump into the franchise.

"Because it's new, we can actually explain it properly, because nobody is going to feel like it's redundant," Amancio said. "I would say that Assassin's Creed Unity is the best entry point for the franchise since [the first Assassin's Creed]."

PC gamers will be happy to hear that Ubisoft will attempt to release it's "Assassin's Creed Unity" at the same time as it's release on next-gen consoles.
