It was a busy day for Amazon today. The online retailer giant has announced five new devices and an update to Fire OS. The later one is called Sangria or Fire OS 4 and it will be rolled out to users later this year.
The Fire HD Kids Edition is among the devices announced by Amazon today. Just like it’s name suggests, the Fire HD Kids Edition is a kids-friendly tablet, but it also has a decent hardware platform.
Fire HD Kids Edition is running Fire OS 4 out of the box and it arrives with a rugged kid friendly case. Amazon revealed that they will replace your Kindle Fire HD Kids Edition without asking any questions if your child breaks it in the first two years. It’s also worth mentioning that the new devices will be available in three body colors: blue, green, and pink.
The new tablet is available with either 6 or 7-inch displays, both sporting a resolution of 1280 x 800. It also comes with a quad-core 1.5 GHz processor, 2 MP rear-facing camera, and 8 of internal storage. The Kindle Fire HD Kids Edition will be released on the market October 21st, but you can already pre-order it from Amazon.
The 6-inch model has a price of $149, while the 7-inch model is priced at $189. You can order them directly from Amazon using thefollowing link.
