If you happen to own Verizon’s variant of HTC One M7 we have great news for you, guys. Mo Versi revealed on Twitter that the HTC One M7 Android 4.4.3 update will be pushed to Verizon users latter this week.
According to Versi, the new HTC One M7 Android 4.4.3 update will arrive with the security improvements of the 4.4.4 update, as well with Extreme Power Saving mode. Of course, besides that you will also get performance improvements and other bug fixes. As you may know the Android 4.4.3 update for One M7 was already released in certain parts of Europe.
As usual, the HTC One M7 Android 4.4.3 update will be rolled out in stages, therefore, some of you might not be able to grab it from day one. As you may know, once your Verizon One M7 becomes eligible to receive the new firmware, you should be able to see a system update message in the notifications area. Tap on it, then follow the on-screen instructions. Alternatively, you can also check for the update manually under Settings > About phone > Software updates > Check for software updates.
Anyway, if you get the system update notification you should know that the update file weighs over 600 MB. Therefore it’s recommended to use a stable WiFi network to avoid unwanted data charges.
I remind you that HTC was one of the first companies to reveal they will be bringing the Android L update on their flagship smartphones. According to them, the Android L update will be released for both One M7 and One M8 within 90 days after Google sends in the final code.
