Moto X 2014 to Become Available for Purchase
Earlier this month, Motorola introduced their flagship smartphone for 2014, the new Moto X. If you were planning to get your hands on the new device you might want to know that the Moto X 2014 will become available for purchase in Verizon’s stores starting tomorrow.
Big Red announced they will sell the Moto X 2014 in black, white, and with a bamboo back lid, but you will also get the option to customize it through Moto Maker. The 16 GB model has an off-contract price of $499.99, but you will also be able to buy it for $99 down with a two-year contract with Verizon. The unlocked price of the bamboo Moto X is $549.99, but the on-contract price is $99, just like the one of the standard black and white models. If you planned to get the 32 GB model, you would have to know that you will need to order it through Moto Maker. The pricing has been set at $149 on-contract and $549.99 unlocked.
I remind you that Moto X 2014 arrives with a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with Full HD (1080 x 1920) resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection, while being underpinned by a quad-core 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor. The technical specifications list also include 2 GB of RAM, 16/32 GB of internal storage, and all the connectivity options worthy of a modern smartphone including HSDPA+, LTE, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.0, LE, NFC, and microUSB 2.0. On the back of the device there’s a 13 MP camera with autofocus, LED flash, and 4K video recording support, while the front-facing shooter has a 2 MP sensor. Moto X 2014 runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat support and it will get updated to Android L as soon as Google releases the final code.
Are you buying the Moto X 2014 from Verizon? Will you go for the standard models, or are you planning to customize it yourself through Moto Maker? Please let us know in comments.
