Motorola Droid Turbo Specs Leak via GFXBench
Motorola recently released two Android-powered smartphones, but it looks like more will be coming soon. Besides the highly-anticipated Moto Shamu (aka Nexus 6), Motorola will reportedly release a new Verizon-exclusive device. The rumor mill says it will be called Motorola Droid Turbo and that it will have a Kevlar-covered back. Courtesy of GFXBench logs now we get to learn more about its technical specifications.
If the Droid Turbo specs listed on GFXBench are the real deal, then the most of the rumors that surfaced over the past weeks will be confirmed. According to the GFXBench log, the Droid Turbo will join the exclusive club of smartphones featuring 2560 x 1440 resolution screens. Since we are talking about a screen sized 5.2 inches diagonally, then expect a pixel density of around 565 ppi. The new Droid flagship will be underpinned by a Snapdragon 805 chipset with four Krait 450 CPU cores clocked at 2.6 GHz and an Adreno 420 GPU. The technical specifications list also includes 3 GB of RAM and 21 GB of storage. This means that from the total of 32 GB of storage, 11 GB will be reserved for the operating system and Verizon’s bloatware.
The surprising part comes from the camera. GFXBench reveals that Droid Turbo is featuring a 19 MP primary shooter with support for recording videos at 4K resolution. The benchmark also talks about a 2 MP user-facing camera. Of course, the Droid Turbo will run Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box.
As usual, we are recommending you to take the report with a pinch of salt as those benchmark results can be altered. After all, nothing is official until Motorola says so.
Would you be tempted to purchase the Droid Turbo if the aforementioned specs prove true? Please share your opinion in the comments section below.
