Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Price Revealed in the UK

Earlier this month, Samsung introduced their next-gen flagship phablets at their Unpacked event: the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge. While the former device is already up for grabs on certain markets, the Galaxy Note Edge will debut in the coming months.

During the Galaxy Note Edge launch event Samsung said that the phone’s pricing will be announced it is made available for purchase. UK retailer Clove is now accepting Galaxy Note Edge pre-orders and it set its price at £650 (VAT included). This makes the Galaxy Edge 15% more expensive than the flat screen Note 4, which has a price tag of £575 at the same retailer. Even though we aren’t looking at the official recommended retail price from Samsung, it’s quite obvious that Edge will be more expensive than Note 4, just like previous rumors were indicating.

Clove says that they will be selling the 32 GB variant of the Galaxy Note Edge in both Charcoal Black and Frost White body liveries. The British retailer failed to announce when it will start shipping the device, but considering that Samsung is said to launch Note Edge in South Korea sometime late October, we Clove might start shipping it mid-November.

As I was mentioning above, the Galaxy Note Edge was launched in the same time with the Galaxy Note 4 sharing many of its technical traits. Note Edge has a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED screen bent over the right edge over the phone. It has a resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels, a pixel density of 524 ppi, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 805 SoC with quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 CPU and Adreno 420 GPU, 3 GB of RAM, 32/64 GB storage, and support for microSD cards up to 128 GB. It also features a 16 MP primary camera with optical image stabilization, phase detection autofocus, and 4K video recording support, a 3.7 MP user-facing camera with Wide Selfie, and a 3,000 mAh battery. It runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box with Samsung’s proprietary TouchWiz skin applied on top.
