Android 5.0.1 Lollipop Update OTA ZIP for Nexus 6 File Now Available for Download

Earlier today, Google rolled out the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop OTA update for Nexus 6. The roll out has been initiated soon after the Mountain View-based giant made the Nexus 6 Android 5.0.1 Lollipop factory image available for download.

As I was mentioning above, Google has issued the Nexus 6 Android 5.0.1 Lollipop OTA update, but, as always, the roll out is being made in phases. This means that many users will be left out after the first batch is released. In case you are lucky enough and the 5.0.1 system update notification already popped out on your device, then this post is pretty useless for you. If you didn’t receive the system update message in the notification bar, then you can also perform a manual check under Settings > About phone > System updates > Check now. If the manual check turns out to be unsuccessful you can use the OTA ZIP to force the update to your device.

The Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update for Nexus 6 is labelled LRX22C and it weighs in at around 70 MB. For the time being, there’s no official changelog available, but you shouldn’t get your hopes to high. This is just a minor update, meant to fix some bugs and to improve the overall system performance.
