LG G Flex 2 Specs and Press Photos Leaked Ahead of Official Announcement

We heard a lot of rumors saying that LG’s next-gen G Flex smartphone should see the light of day at CES 2015. We even heard some details regarding its technical specifications. Even though the LG G Flex 2 is not officially official yet, its full specifications and a couple of press photos have leaked online courtesy oftbreak.ae.
Unlike its predecessor, which was rather a mid-ranger, the G Flex 2 is underpinned by a powerful hardware platform. It also comes with a smaller screen than the original G Flex, a screen that has been downsized to 5.5-inches.
According the recent leak, the LG G Flex features a 5.5-inch Curved P-OLED display with Full HD (1080 x 1920) resolution and a pixel density of 403 ppi. The processing tasks are handled by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset based on a 64-bit octa-core CPU clocked at 2.0 GHz. It also arrives with 16 / 32 GB of native storage, 2 GB of DDR4 RAM, and support for microSD cards.
On the back of the LG G Flex 2 there’s a 13 MP primary shooter with OIS+ and Laser Auto Focus, which is most likely the same camera unit mounted on the back of the highly-appreciated LG G3. The user-facing camera has a 2.1 MP sensor. The device is kept alive by a 3,000 mAh battery and integrates all the connectivity features worthy of a modern smartphone including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth Smart Ready (Apt-X) 4.1, NFC, SlimPort, A-GPS / Glonass, and USB 2.0.
LG G Flex 2 measures 149.1 x 75.3 x 7.1-9.4 mm and weighs in at 152 grams. It will be available in two body colors Platinum Silver and Flamenco Red.
The new curved device will come pre-loaded with Android 5.0 Lollipop, of course customized with LG’s own skin. It will bring software features such as Gesture Shot (allows the user to capture a selife using a hand gesture recognizable from up to 1.5 meters), Gesture View (you can check your last shot immediately after taking a photo or selfie), Glance View (displays key information such as time, recent messages or missed calls with a downward swipe of the curved screen even while the display is off), and Fast Charge (promises charge your battery from 0% to 50% in under 40 minutes).
