The influx of Material Design updates is carrying on tonight with Google Play Services. The icon has been revamped to include Material Design and the app itself has also been tweaked for it. All of the options in the app now follow the Material Design checkbox and menu styles. The change isn’t massive, since the app itself isn’t visually large, but it shows that Google is continuing to work and update all of their apps and services for the upcoming Android L release.
According to the latest rumor, the HTC Nexus 9 is set to launch next Wednesday, October 15, likely bringing the release of Android L with it. This would line up with a recent increase in Material Design updates for Google apps. With all of this, we’ll hopefully see a swath of announcements from Google next week.
